It just doesn’t add up.
At least it doesn’t for some of the friends of Adam Taff and John D. Myers, indicted Wednesday on charges of wire fraud.
The case revolves around a $1.2 million home in Lake Quivira where Taff and his wife have been living for the past year.
Myers, who founded the mortgage company where Taff worked for a year between his 2002 and 2004 congressional bids, sold him the house at 177 Hillcrest West. The January 2004 transaction allegedly involved a doctored check and closing statement and $300,000 that briefly came out of Taff’s campaign account and then went back in.
