I am going with my girlfriend (DUer Gilmore) but should have room for one in my back seat (assuming I clean it out, which would really make my girlfriend happy).

Does anyone need a ride? Directions? Someone to follow to the meetup?

This way, Proud2BLib doesn't have to worry about "I couldn't get a ride" as an excuse

4. How about the computer crashed

Is that excuse good enough? Hubby's computer took a nose dive. I had to buy a new HD and the rest of my day has been shot. So far I have successfully installed the HD (did format, changed BIOS) and reloaded an operating system. I've successfully updated the OS. I'm almost done with re-installing the most important program files and I've successfully recovered and migrated most of the document files we need to work (at least for the rest of this week). I've downloaded and updated web browsers. Now comes the fun part of recovering all of the e-mail files and then moving them to the new HD.

Believe me, I wanted to :party: :toast:

I'm at this stage :grr: right now. Most of the day I've either been :nuke: or :argh: so this is an improvement.

6. The only place I've gone

these past few days is to bed. Unfortunately I wake up and the computer still hasn't healed itself, dishes are still in the sink and now the I have to replace the wax seal on the toilet because it is leaking. :banghead: But hey, I've still got DU for my sanity.

Last night my hubby was very, very happy that I got his internets back. He celebrated by playing online poker where he won/placed on three tables, so we've recouped the cost of his new harddrive. Now if he'll just win enough to get us both new computers.

As for the computer crashing, I think it was a Pat Robertson-sanctioned hit. The computer's been wanting to give up the ghost for a while now and Pat was just fulfilling its wish.

I enjoy our meetups more and more all the time. I took a friend last night and she had a blast. She wants to join DU now. :woohoo:
