Okay, that's not quite true, they must have lost in 2002, but 3-1. It's gotta be me. There's a positive correlation.

Before then I would have paid no attention to KU or MU unless they were playing Nebraska or ISU.

He lives in Lawrence now. I've seen him around town. But don't forget our other football greats - Gayle Sayres, Bobby Douglas, Nolan Cromwell and David Jaynes.

I agree, KU has had problems this year. IMHO there seems to be a continuing problem with the special teams. If it wasn't for our third win over MU in three years Mangino might be in trouble with the alumni.

6. Orange Bowl 1969, Liberty Bowl 1973, Sun Bowl 1975

We've had football teams in the past 50 years! My brother actually played on both the Liberty and Sun Bowl teams.

There was (if I remember correctly) 1 bowl game in the 80's and KU went to two in the 90's.
