‘Let’s Talk’ forum Wednesday at JCCC
Journalists and politicians will discuss changes in Kansas politics during a “Let’s Talk Issues” forum Wednesday at Johnson County Community College. It is titled “So, What IS the Matter with Kansas? A Tour of the Political Landscape.”

The hourlong, televised program will begin at 7 p.m. in Room 233 of the General Education Building on the campus at Quivira Road and College Boulevard. Admission is free, and the public is invited. The forum will be shown live on Time Warner Cable Channel 17 and Comcast Channel 22.

Participating will be Dave Helling and Jim Sullinger, both of The Kansas City Star; Bill Roy Jr., chairman of the Johnson County Democratic Party; and state Rep. Lance Kinzer, an Olathe Republican. The forum series is sponsored by The Star, the League of Women Voters of Johnson County and the college.

1. Interesting.
I can't make it but it should be good. Will you or someone else who might be attending be able to post the main points? Please? Anyone?

I did not know that Bill Roy Jr. was the chairman in JoCo. We know his father and other parts of his family fairly well.

2. I wish I could go, but I've got a prior obligation Wednesday.
I hope someone will be able to attend and tell us how it went. Sounds like it will be a fascinating meeting.

3. I doubt I'll be able to make it, and my cable provider doesn't
seem to be carrying it. I hope someone will give us the lowdown!
