Democratic Kansas 2nd CD candidate getting ready to announce

I got a phone call last night from my buddy Rex with some interesting news about a candidate for the 2nd Congressional District who will be announcing shortly. I don't know if I have permission to name names so I'll act like Scotty McClellan and dance around for it now. I can tell you the prospective candidate is buying a house in Topeka, he is a former Marine who opposed going into Iraq and is an attorney whose name had come up as a possible Kansas AG candidate in 2006. I'll also say that his name will sound familiar to those here in Kansas because he has a close relative who ran for Ryan's seat in recent years. The last thing I'll say is that he was inspired to run because of Paul Hackett.

I'm glad to hear that family is going to get back into another election race. Though I cannot also announce this name, a popular, Wichita Demo. Party incumbent is soon to announce a candidacy against Tiahrt.
