1. Lawrence had it last week
but I have not checked to see if it is still there. I was planning on going there to see it since I doubt Topeka will have the guts to offer it, you never know. We got Syriana the day it was released and I never thought I would see that here.

We could go out to Olathe. The AMC 30 probably has it, and its a nice theater.

What about tomorrow (Monday) or Tuesday evening?

4. Isn't it still in Lawrence?
I saw it was there just yesterday. I have rehearsals every night and meetings except maybe Thursday, would you be able to go on Thursday? I would love to join you.

5. I think so, I don't have class on Thursday. Gilmore does, but I
think she is off this Thrusday, and dosen't officially start until Friday.

If you don't mind going out to Olathe, I would prefer that theater, mainly because the one in Lawrence absolutely sucks.

But either way.

7. It's showing at the Southwind

Damn! I wish it were at Liberty Hall because you can have a beer and watch the movie. I do like that it is in a mainstream theater.

I'm in. What day, time and where? I'm assuming that Wednesday's shindig is still on.

6. I find that a bit strange...
I hope that they don't think that it's too controversial because gay relationships are in our society and you can choose not no see it. Oh, wait I forgot this is Kansas...

9. Agree This is a fantastic film
All of the headlines about "gay cowboys" do this film a disserice. This movie won a Golden Globe for the screenplay, and it was well-deserved. The dialogue was true and spontaneous, and Heath Ledger's western drawl and virtual mumble at times is exactly how many men talk. Larry McMurtry was on of the writers, and anyone who has read Lonesome Dove will recognize the perfection with which he replicates western talk. This movie, however, is mostly about the emotional conflicts created by love affairs. This movie makes the audience feel intense emotion, and does so without hitting us over the head with speeches or blatant cues. This movie really is worthy of an Oscar.
