KEC continues to grow!
The Kansas Equality Coalition is adding a new chapter in, are you ready? Southwest Kansas!

Thought I would let you all know, I am so pleased. Can you believe it? I thought it would take us much longer to get something going out there.

Please visit our site as it grows and changes.

1. Congrats
That is really good news. In what other cities other than Wichita and KC does the KEC have chapters? Salina? Hutchinson?

3. We have chapters
Edited on Mon Feb-20-06 04:06 PM by MuseRider
in Johnson County, Lawrence, Topeka, Manhattan and Wichita plus our new Southwest chapter.

We are reaching out to a lot of other cities and regions but no formal organization yet.

Salina is a big possibility and we have a few interested in the Northwest area of the state as well. We do have a young man in Emporia who has done some things with us but he is a student and I am not sure he is up to starting a chapter yet. He is very busy but very committed since he has experienced first hand some terrible things.

2. Are they planning on having regular monthly meetings?
I have heard nothing since the meeting I went to here.

4. HI!
We do not require monthly meetings but most of us are doing at least that while we organize. I looked at the site and don't see anything scheduled yet for JoCo so I would guess they have not planned it yet.

We are all scrambling to get things organized and it is such a huge project. Meanwhile we are out and about getting ready to do some major damage to those that would drive the GLBT community back into the closet. We have quite a team assembled.

I don't know if I will learn anything about the JoCo meetings tonight at the Topeka meeting but we have a state board meeting this Sunday so I will let you know if I hear anything.
