4. Thank you.
I did door-to-door yesterday until it got dark. Quite literally, the last house I left a card on yesterday called me at 7am this morning to ask me for a yard sign. They're one up from Oak Park elementary school, and I'm just thrilled. I'm hoping it's a good omen.

Saturday I saw Jim Yonally, my Republican opponent, and he said that his polling (he's also a pollster) shows that in Johnson County the Democrats will probably gain one Senate seat (I'm guessing Pete Roman) and three House seats. Hope he's right.

5. That is really interesting ...
I don't know if I've noticed a shift in opinion or not ... I don't think I've lived here long enough to judge that. But I definately have been surprised to see all of the Dem signs in the county; particularly in pretty affluent neighborhoods, where I assumed there would be more support for republicans. The county is so big compared to the population in Kansas, it's nice to see the support and hopefully more of a shift to the Democrats in the governments (local and national).
