We converted a total of five trailers to mobile signs back in 2004 for local Democratic candidates.
The design we went with this year for Nancy's trailers were a lot easier to paint than what we designed for her back in 2004.
Here's what the 2004 signs looked like:
We painted the background and outlined the design to be painted.
In the process of being painted.
This was the finished sign that we made. It was parked in our driveway so it could be hooked up and used in a local parade the next day.
After the parade, the sign was moved to a field overlooking I-35, a mile or so south of BETO junction. It was taken out of that field several times to be used in parades and fundraisers. It also made appearances around college football games during pre-fame tailgating parties.
Here's the trailer we made for the Douglas County Democratic Party HQ.
And here's one of our trailers that we lent out to a local group raising money first for the tsunami and later for Katrina relief.
