I'm looking at Sunflower Ch. 6 and it says the high here today was 113!!! :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
Those are southwest temps! I never thought working graveyard would be a blessing, but this year it is. I was in my cool apartment all day oblivious. Have a young friend who was doing a move this weekend. Hope he's ok...

1. I was working outside
all afternoon and it was killer. When I got to the farm it was 107 and it just kept getting worse. Our official temp was about 103 I think but then I am miles from where they measure it. I kept wetting down my clothes but it did not help much.

It is one of those very hot years we have periodically, at least that is what I am hoping.

3. I wish it were Phoenix
At least dry heat isn't as bad. It is more dangerous but it isn't as bad.

We took the puppies to the dog park this morning when it was only in the mid-90's! With the humidity up today it felt like we were smimming in the air. I swear, if I had fallen over I think the humidity would have caught me. Alls I know is after being outside most of yesterday and then romping in the dog park this morning I've been zapped of all energy.

5. I was living in Boulder, CO
a while back. We had a heat wave one summer (must have been 1989) and after the third day of triple digits the headline on the Denver Post read: What is this? Phoenix?
