Party at the Hollow Sat. - newly engaged DU'ers ComerP & Gilmore
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 03:02 PM by Mabus
This your chance to congratulate, celebrate with and otherwise harass recently engaged DU'ers ComerPerro and Gilmore. :toast:

6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26th 2006 at picturesque Burton's Hollow.

POTLUCK BYOB GRILLS PROVIDED

PM me for address/directions.

I talked to Rex earlier this week. He said it is okay to bring tents and sleeping bags if you want to stay overnight or unable to drive safely. If you want a comfortable seat around the bonfire then bring a camping chair (except for Proud who left hers out there when we did sign painting a couple of weeks ago.

Be there or we'll talk about you behind your back! :hide:

Unless you believe St. Brendan went to Peru in a canoe, there's no fuckin' way we stole 'em. The Spaniards did that, and then it was the only thing the Sassenach would let us keep of our crops. Even when the blight struck, the rest of Ireland's agricultural output was exported.
Ah, shit. There I went.

32. Oh dear.
Sometimes I hate having to communicate this way. It seems like one of us is being unclear and it was probably me. We were fighting the city council to save the HRC the last two weeks and I can hardly stay awake let alone think. I meant it as a joke and it sounds like it did not come across that way.

I love you all, I would never say anything like that unless it was in jest. Sorry.

Yes, keep me abreast of what happens in Meade and let them know that I think what has been happening to them is appalling to say the very least. Have a safe and wonderful trip.

I'm going to scarce around these parts tomorrow. We're heading to a continuing education seminar that lasts all day tomorrow. Saturday I'm doing canvassing and then the party.

on edit: we're going to go see a friend's band Friday night.

Cause, my mind was somewhere else - I did a search and clicked on one of those faux links that is actually a porn site. Oh man, I saw some big boys. :eyes: Then I come back here and read your message with my mind on the previous site, and, well, I'll let you figure it out.

73. I know, I was being silly
I've got to sit through an eight hour seminar tomorrow. Long story, short: I've been working late most of this week and my sleep schedule is way off. I was told by boss man that we have to leave here around 6:30 a.m. to get to where we need to be on time. I've been going to bed around 3 to 4 a.m. This morning I got to be around 5. Tomorrow morning I will be getting up shortly after 5 to walk the dogs, make breakfast, etc.

So, to ensure that I can get to sleep at a decent time tonight, I've resorted to intoxicating substances - I even went next door and bummed some beer. I'm a little goofy and unfocused now.

I'm in the same state. We've been working 12-14 days for an asshole client nobody will say no to. They're the reason I'll probably have to work this weekend. Get some sleep.

Which means we aren't going to get the dogs walked until midnight.

I've already set the timer on the coffee pot.

Thanks. Right now I'm watching "Can Mr. Smith Still Get to Washington?" It's about Jeff Smith of St. Louis running as a progressive Democrat against the Carnahan Dynasty for Dick Gephardt's old House seat. It's very good and kinda funny.

Jeff Smith spoke at the DFA MO meeting in Columbia and gave us the DVD. The guy who produced it is a DUer, and he has a thread about it going into national release.
