Fight crime, not souls

When I listen to Christian radio - which I like to do to keep up with their thinking - the name of our Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline keeps popping up.

Although the station I listen to is owned by a local broadcaster, Bott Broadcasting, many of its programs are nationally syndicated programs.

It would not have surprised me to hear Phill Kline's name mentioned on local Christian programs, but it astounds me how often he is mentioned nationally.

For example, a recent evangelical conference held in Colorado was promoted on a national radio program. Its keynote speakers were some of the top national names in the Christian evangelical movement - and Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline.

Our attorney general has become a national figure within the Christian conservative community. And note for the record, he does travel to many of these conferences on our time - the taxpayers' time, during the regular workweek.
