I voted against the soccer bill in Johnson County
I did the math. I don't understand why it is so expensive. Plus, these fields are a long way away from NE Jo Co, where I live. I couldn't help but wonder if this complex would be benefiting only the kids who live out there. This is a large county. Why not put some fields here in the northern part of the county as well as out south?

So I voted no.

1. It does seem that the purpose has more to do with the proposed
stadium and shopping center than with helping the kids play soccer. The stadium is much less likely to be built if the soccer bill fails. I would think the kids would be better served by having more and better soccer fields throughout the community.

2. That was what I was thinking too
Let's put fields all over the county.
