My guy lost
We worked so hard and he was a much better candidate than the incumbent. But that incumbent presented himself as a moderate repuke and the voters fell for it.

Amidst all the victories I am thrilled about this evening, this loss really hurts.

KS district 24
ED O'MALLEY R 3832 52.00%
ANDY SANDLER D 3210 43.56%

1. We lost a tree, but we still have the FOREST!!!
Good effort there in Kansas. Keep your chin up though, we've got a lot of work ahead, with our new found MAJORITY status.

3. Thank you for your hard work. Remember Wellstone's "lose forward" idea...
The first time out with a candidate there is a huge investment to develop a campaign and a ground game and so forth...

The next time you go for it - you will be so much better known that you will win!

7. Same here in district 16. It is truly maddening.
At least we did make some gains elsewhere.

GENE RARDIN D 4053 49.82%
Write-in Votes 2 0.02%

8. that is so painfully close
if only 15 people had changed their minds.
Unfortunately Corey Mohn lost as well in the 39th. I just wonder if Sebelius and Morrison could have helped either of them. I haven't heard anything about the County Commission race either.

9. In Rardin's case, there's a chance that provisional ballots might
make a difference. But we won't know until Monday.
