4. We do live in Kansas

and I would bet most of us who post here are more liberal than the general neighborhood/community we live in. I mean, the best the 3rd District (I think we're both in the same district) can do is that blue dog Moore. Not to mention that we are living in a state that has elected both Brownback and Roberts more than once.

I don't think our situation is completely hopeless. I think it's a start that Ryun was ousted. We just need to keep working to get the truth out to enough people and hopefully we can help push the tide further left.

It's one of the reasons I hate going to the grocery store. I overheard two women talking about how it was so sad about climate change. That was reassuring, at first. I lost more than a little hope when one of them said we were fortunate to live in Kansas where "we won't be affected." The other woman just nodded. After a few minutes of it I couldn't take it anymore and tried to explain that it wasn't just coastal areas that would be affected but they just didn't get it. I gave up.
