Tuesday is "National Take a Stand" day - - a day to stand in support
of our veterans - - to get them out of the unnecessary, illegal
quagmire that they are in and bring them home NOW. The goal is to let
Congress know that we want them to have some backbone come September
after hearing the White House report on the "surge." (And in case you
haven't heard, the report will be released on 9/11 - one more
desperate attempt by the pResident to link this idiotic war to 9/11!)
Please join us from 5:00 to 6:00 at 63 and Ward Parkway.
Best parking is along 63rd, west of Ward Parkway.
Afterwards, we will gather at Charlie Hoopers in Brookside (on 63rd,
just west of Main).
Come to one or both gatherings!
Also please call your elected representatives on Tuesday. So far, only
Cleaver has taken a stand against continuing the war on Iraq. We have
4 area senators and 2+ congressmen who need to hear from us and
understand we want this war to end and our troops brought home!
See you on Tuesday!!
