Funny thing is, I never got the original complaint, but I can't prove it, so I'm going to send the greedy fuckers their $10.

We got the same letter last week. We also got one from the library. It appears the Admiral checked out a book for one of his kids and she doesn't know where it is now. We will probably end up paying for it since she thinks we owe it to her to pay all her bills. :eyes:

4. Ugh, those library fines for books are outrageous!

They tried to get me to pay for once I *had* returned. Luckily I was able to find it among the stacks and call off the dogs!

5. That's happened to me before too

I didn't use the public library for a long time after that happened. I was so pissed. I used the KU libraries instead.

I've sometimes wondered if there are people who put overdue books back on the shelf and then say, "What are you talking about? Here it is," just to get out of paying the fines.
