Kline lost convincingly.

Ryun loses in a squeaker it looks like. Let's hope Boyda can hold of Jenkins now.

2. I wonder what he plans on running for next. Govenor maybe? I'd love to see him
in the primary for that, getting all the crazies riled up and screwing with their other candidates.

7. I think it's highly
possible that Kline will run for Governor in two years. My real concern is that the Democrats don't have an up and comer who can logically run after Sebelius's term ends. Morrison would have been the likeliest candidate, but he obviously isn't going to happen. And there's no one that I can think of in the state legislature at this time who has the kind of state wide name recognition to consider it.

Unless Slattery loses his race for the Senate, in which case he'd be very well positioned to run for Governor.

4. Slowly
but yes, they are disappearing :). Still are plenty of them but it is getting harder for them. We have a few who won their primaries, lost a couple of good people too but then we did gain in other areas.

Nothing better than seeing Kline lose, a run for governor is what I heard he was looking at next. I know better than to laugh out loud about that....I laughed at Bush** winning the Repub primary.

I will miss the Ryun ads. Skittish as a colt, fleet as a racehorse....they were very funny.

5. As long as we have a good Dem running, I would not fear a Kline Gov run.

6. seems like Jenkins ran to the right though
A no tax increases pledge and a hard-line against immigrants.

8. It was quite a night, eh?
*We* didn't even have to do a thing to get Kline out of our county. The Republicans took care of him themselves. Gotta love it.

Meanwhile, across the border, Hulshof beat that horrible Sarah Steelman in the GOP primary for the MO governor's race. Looks like the God platform is losing favor amongst the Republicans these days.
