Description
I am Dr. Janet Parker D.V.M., the Executive Director of Medical Whistleblower. The Program will be focused on the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Trauma Informed Care and the Pathway to Recovery through knowledge, self exploration and awareness. We will be celebrating the healing powers within the self and giving out pamphlets about PTSD and the journey to healing. This lecture is especially relevant to returning war veterans but will also pertain to those who have experienced other traumas such as being a victim of a crime, natural disaster or sexual assault. I will be willing to answer questions within my level of knowledge. I emphasizes that she is not a therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist but instead a survivor of trauma myself and an advocate for recovery for those who have experienced PTSD.
