Larry Gates Running for State Chair Again?

Has anyone heard anything recent regarding whether Larry Gates intends to run for re-election as chair of the Kansas Democratic Party? State Party elections are conducted at Washington Days in late Feb or early March.

I imagine he will unless sebelius decides in the next month whether she will run for senate and maybe offer him a position. Even then I think he would run and then resign.

2. I have absolutely no fondness

for him, but he's probably the best choice.

The only other distant possibility might be if Bill Roy Jr. were to want the job. But then I'm not very familiar with that many potential state chairs in most of the rest of the state.
