She also votes yes to bad policies.
Take the stimulus (please). Lynn Jenkins voted against a $500 tax cut per person, and against over $150 million for Kansas highways, and over $150 million for Kansas schools.
But she did not just vote NO to tax cuts for working people, healthcare for children, veteran's benefits, and spending on roads and schools, all of which would have created jobs. She voted no to that, but she also voted YES to the Republican alternative.
Here's the CBPP analysis of the Republican alternative
http://www.cbpp.org/cms/index.cfm?fa=view&id=2354"A proposal to cut income tax rates, which Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell wants to include in economic recovery legislation, would provide its largest benefit to the top fifth of households and prove less effective as economic stimulus than the provision it would replace — President Obama’s “Making Work Pay” tax credit."
Less effective as a stimulus and its largest benefit to the top fifth of households. That's what Jenkins voted YES to.
She's a CPA as she always wants us to remember, so she knows darn well that this alternative would benefit higher income households. So she's a liar when she claims that she voted for better alternatives.
Her ads could end "I am Lynn Jenkins and I am a shameless liar" but let's hold our breath while we wait for the media to call her on her lies.
