Kansas GOP is flat-busted broke...or close to it

Kansas Republicans may hold all the big offices….and control the Legislature.

But these days, they are sniffing fumes when it comes to finances.

BECAUSE….They don’t have any.

Public records show that two of the party’s main bank accounts were bone dry — or nearly so, in recent months.

Financial records filed in mid-July show that the party’s federal account is nearly $5,000 underwater. (The exact amount: $4,984).

The party’s state account had but $106 in it at the end of 2010. That’s the latest record available.
