Election Eve greetings to all!
Before I say anything, let me implore you to VOTE, VOTE, VOTE on Tuesday. Your country needs your presence at the polls.
OK, now on to board business...
The Louisville History & Issues discussion board, Beta 8, the first Open Beta, is ready for your review and comments. Just open your web browser and type www.historyandissues.org . The official launch is still on track for this Wednesday, November 8.
What is an Open Beta? It means two things: 1) Anyone can register now, and without needing administrative (read: my) approval. 2) Tell all your friends and associates that there's a new discussion board in town for discussing our area history as well as current issues, and it's ready for prime time (or so I hope). Nobody has to send me an email first -- just direct everyone to www.historyandissues.org and they can register themselves ("Become a Citizen") AT WILL.
I also invite everyone to take a multiple choice poll on what kinds of local topics you are most interested in discussing or reading about. I will use the results to determine the "final" (for now) placement and inclusion of the topics on the board.
The poll is located here:
