We need a real progressive candidate to challenge

Ben Chandler in two years. I like Ben and have voted for him in every election he has been in, I had to hold my nose this time but voted him over Barr. Central Kentucky/ Lexington needs a representative that votes our values. Voting for Shuler over Pelosi was his latest effort to walk on an increasingly narrower fence. The KY 6th is a democratic district and we should have a real Democrat in Washington. Enough blue dogs, if we wanted a Republican we would have voted one in.

1. The KY 6th dist is rated as one of the more conservative in the U.S. While the registration

is majority Democratic, it is definately not "liberal" democratic. Remember: Ernie Fletcher was the rep prior to Chandler. A liberal democrat probably would not be able to win this seat any time soon. For all his faults, at least Chandler is strong on the environment. He's pretty good with labor too. I doubt we will see those traits in any republican who might get this seat.
