Bunning, Osborne Win Re-Election Bids
Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Bunning barely won re-election to the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, edging Democratic challenger Daniel Mongiardo by about 2 percent of the vote in Kentucky.
Elsewhere, former college football coach Tom Osborne of Nebraska held onto his seat in the House of Representatives, and track great Jim Ryun was in a tight race in Kansas.
Alan Page won re-election to the Minnesota Supreme Court, defeating challenger Tim Tingelstad. The former Vikings star has sat on the state's highest court for 12 years.
The Dallas Cowboys scored a $325 million victory at the polls when voters in Arlington, Texas, approved increasing taxes to pay for half of a 75,000-seat, retractable-roof stadium.
