Anybody know of cabins for rent on a Kentucky Lake?
Have camped a lot in days gone by at Green River, Barren, Nolin, etc. but need a cabin to rent for a few days (week?).

Got the grandkids coming for two weeks this summer. When my kids were little we camped almost every weekend during the summer. My grandkids have never been camping. (Isn't there a law about that or something? Child abuse?) Well, the camping gear, tent, stove, etc. are all gone so I am looking for a cabin to rent for a few days while they are all here (5 girls - 17 down to 8).

Does anyone know of a site that rents cabins close to the water? They all love to swim, gonna try and teach them to fish, cook out over a campfire, etc. Everything I have found so far is not right on the lake. Not interested in anything that doesn't include waterfront - if I wanted to be down the road I'd just get a hotel room or something.

PS - don't want to try and manage a houseboat by myself so that is out.

Any ideas?

1. Try KenLake, Barkley Dam (Land Between The Lakes)
and Lake Malone for starters. Lake Cumberland might have something too.
Youcould also try Percy Priest in Tennessee.

2. What part of the state are you looking at?
I haven't stayed here http://www.wolf-river.com/cabins.htm but I did stay at a place down the road and it was pretty nice.

3. Central Kentucky, if possible. Wolf River sounds great, I'll have
to check it out further. Thanks.
