I'm very discouraged
I have waited over a year to have representation in the Kentucky State Senate, and they give us this. I don't see why Virginia Woodward copuldn't have run after the fight she gave em to save this seat from the Republicans but instead we get to vote for this Dan Seim clone...
Hope this one stays a Democrat!...

2. I was discouraged
by Clark's objection to the STAR program...
If a company doesn't want to come here because we won't let them pollute our air then so be it. Let em pollute someone elses air...

3. The 37th district has been screwed twice now...
First by having no representation, now by having a choice between a Republican and a Democrat that supports these fringe ideas that even more moderate Republicans would recognize is wrong. I'm not even sure which is worse. If I lived in that district (and I actually used to, but that has been quite a while), I don't even think I'd bother to vote given the choices. The way I see it, I couldn't vote for Clark because I see no reason to do so, and at the same time I couldn't vote for Peden because I could never stoop down to voting for a Republican (I know that isn't being "open-minded," but every little bit of power you give to the Republican party helps them gain even more prominence, which isn't good).

I guess the right choice is Clark, but I can't give one legitimate reason to vote for him other than the fact that it keeps one seat a Democratic seat--assuming (as you said) he stays a Democrat.

4. I have voted Democrat
since Nixon and I'm having a hard time with this. I don't see why Woodward couldn't have run.

5. Woodward
They absolutely should have left Woodward in... she would have been one of those politicians that the 37th district (as well as the entire state) could have been proud of. Hopefully there will be an opening for her to get back into politics somehow, because she deserves it and we really need people like her involved in public service.

The Democratic Party in Kentucky and and their foolish decisions (such as, obviously, choosing Clark over Woodward) is contributing (perhaps moreso than the Republicans) to turning Kentucky into an even more red state than it is already becoming, and they really need to start ACTING like the Democratic Party SHOULD act.
