had a fall in his home and is paralyzed.
He's not my fav person,but I wish him the best.
This will be a long road to recovery.

How does that work if he has to be replaced?

Apparently he had an automobile accident and refused medical treatment. He probably injured his neck then and the fall just worsened things.

2. One-car accident

He hit a pole and requested no police report to be filed,he would take care of the damages himself.Refused to get medical help.
I'm trying very hard not to see something strange in all this,but I can't help it.It smells fishy!Was he drunk?
tonight they said he has some 'feeling' in his shoulders.

3. That's pretty much the presumption that everyone I've talked to..

has made and (not just democrats) From what I hear (rumors) McKeithen has had drinking and driving issues in the past. I was under the impression that such extreme accidents (totalled his car) were required to have police reports file. I'm pretty sure that had this accident involved any "regular" citizen, a report would have been filed.
