Hurricane Rita damage in Houston, TX
With all the news lately about Louisiana and Hurricane Katrina, we shouldn't forget that Houston has had it's share of devastating weather also.

The attached photo illustrates the damage caused to a home when Hurricane Rita passed through the Houston area a couple of days ago. It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take life for granted!!!

Warning: The attached picture is quite graphic and may not be suitable for younger viewers.

5. LOL!
I am in Houston and can appreciate this. If only I had a digital camera, I could post a harrowing pic of the political yard sign that was blown OVER my shrubbery, and another one of the poor banana tree leaves that look like they've been through a paper shredder. Oh yeah, the parrot logo on my local grocery mart is still broken. gasp.

We were indeed spared. Our hearts are with you and all truly affected.

& thanks for the laugh!!!
