Some have asked me why I am pessimistic living in a very RED area. This was in today's paper:

McCrery raised millions, challengers raised little

WASHINGTON "" Rep. Jim McCrery, who has raised more than $2 million to keep his seat, has given the National Republican Campaign Committee $500,000 to help his GOP colleagues in a tough campaign season.

McCrery, a Republican from Shreveport, is being challenged by Democrats Patti Cox and Artis Cash and fellow Republican Chester Kelley.


But none of McCrery's rivals has raised the $10,000 that would require them to file a campaign finance report with the Federal Election Commission.

1. If it makes you feel any better I was disenfranchised in Tennessee

I was going to have the opportunity to vote in a close senate race between Ford and Corker but the Ford campaign screwed up and left my voter registration along with several others in a drawer and didn't realize it until the deadline had passed. Now I'll be voting absentee in the LA-01 district where Jindal would probably win even if it was discovered that he was having 3-ways with Mark Foley.
