Editor called yesterday to ask if they could edit the letter just a bit....looks like they took out the most forceful paragraph....afraid of the Vitter machine? And, I had about 3 more "He lied to me," which they took out. Oh well.

God, Clinton and Vitter: In reading, watching and listening today, I was struck by how many “pundit” types tried to excuse Mr. Vitter’s actions by referring to Mr. Clinton’s actions ... “Clinton did it too, woo hoo!” God will not judge Mr. Vitter by Mr. Clinton’s actions. Mr. Vitter will be judged on his own, will stand alone.
I will not judge the actions of either, as that is best left to God, but I will condemn Mr. Vitter for lying to me, a citizen of the state of Louisiana. In years past, in public, Mr. Vitter hotly denied his sex-capades, blaming the reporting of political opponents. He said publicly that families are the most important thing in the world to him. He lied. Political power was more important.
He said publicly that Mr. Clinton’s moral depravity was an impeachable offense and that such a depraved individual should resign. Was he lying about that as well? Mr. Vitter, please resign as a show of respect to the party, to the state and to me and all other citizens of Louisiana.
