is vitter's reelection a done deal?

can traylor beat him in the primary?

i would not mind if melancon went very negative right after
the primaries.

1. Not a done deal
But going negative would be a very bad idea. Melancon has portrayed hiself as Mr. Everyman during this campaign, the guy we can all identify with. If he goes very negative, he blows that entire image and he ruins any chance of running for office again. The problem is he does not have the funding the Vitter campaign does. He needs more people on the ground knocking on their neighbors' doors.
