if not us, who? if not now, when?
the brave teachers of wisconsin are leading the fight. it is very important to support them in any way possible.
it is not too early to begin identifying the issues and locations where we, as orleanians and as louisianans can resist the big government/big corporate "reform" of education, breaking of unions, and appropriation of our public funds and public property.
naomi klein has identified post katrina new orleans as a laboratory for the type of reforms in store for the rest of the country. no doubt reform is needed, but i'm for letting the trachers help decide how much and when necessary reforms are impkemented.
for now, how about a check in supporting the brave public workers in madison.
