Our Anti-Bush, Pro-Kerry action in Lafayette

Wow, how much fun was this afternoon!! About 25 of us met at Cajun field and held up Kerry signs and anti-bush signs to the people of Lafayette who had the good fortune to drive by and see us! We got alot of thumbs up and honks, and a few middle finger salutes. One guy was so busy giving us a thumbs down, that he lost control of his truck and drove over the median to the other side of the street. He was OK though, a little embarrassed. Then 2 young people showed up on the opposite side of the street with bush* signs, and there was a lot of good-natured yelling back and forth. Then Channel 10 showed up, filmed the whole thing, and interviewed some of us. I really think the people of Lafayette were absolutely freaked at seeing us out there with our Kerry signs, our American flags, our anti-bush signs....how often does that happen in bush* country??? If you are anywhere near Lafayette, we are doing it again next Sunday with even more people....just DU mail me and I'll give you the where and when.
