Let's get that Bobby Jindal!
What incredible GALL this man has to suggest that we are subverting democracy by wanting to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to vote and their vote is counted correctly!!

1. I'm with you.
He's another bootlicker for corruption, just like our new senator, Vitter.

6. Unfortunately, my congressman holds a safe seat
But don't be surprised if his ego leads him to challenge Landrieu in 2008. That's when we need to take him down for good.

9. He's from District 1, the Democrat who ran against Vitter got about 2%
He's not vulnerable in his seat by any means. However, I guarantee you that he will try to advance his political career to statewide office again.

12. Here's what I don't get, we outsted EVERY Repuke in 2003 except him
Edited on Wed Jan-12-05 05:50 PM by Hippo_Tron
We wiped the state government clean of Republicans except for one office, a very important one, the one that counts the votes. The good news is that we do control the Governor's mansion (which I'm not sure will be the case in 3 years) and the Attorney General 's office so if there is voter fraud going on (or at least Voter Fraud that benefits the GOP), it can be easily investigated.

13. A least McKeithen will talk to you.
I have sent so much correspondence into the governmental black hole, I was shocked when I actually got a phone call from Fox McKeithen regarding the new voting machines. He hasn't yet reacted to our concerns, but he is listening. And he'l listen to you, too, if you'll get in touch with him.

I think what we need to do is propose a viable alternative to the ES&S machines. McKeithen believes that the optical-scan ballots are just as unreliable if not moreso.

More info and contact info for McKeithen:

15. I believe what you're saying.
He will listen.I know it! I used to like McKeithen a lot,in the past.I used to think he was decent, but, him being a Republican,I just can't believe anything anymore.
I don't like him dismissing the voting problems like it was nothing!Making fun of people who voiced their concerns.
I can't deal with this anymore!

I didn't know he used to be Democrat and switched in '88.

14. Tell him in person
Here is an email I recieved (Jindal mailing list) w/ info on his committe assignments in Congress and upcoming open houses in South Louisiana.

------------------------------------
Dear Friends:

Last week as I stood on the Floor of the U.S. House and took the Oath of Office, a flood of thoughts raced through my mind. I thought of my courageous parents who came to Louisiana before I was born in search of the American Dream. It seemed like not a day would pass without my father telling my brother and I how lucky we were to live in America, where EVERYTHING is possible. I thought of my son and daughter, and how I want that Dream to be alive in their hearts and available in our state. And I thought of you, your support, encouragement and prayers that made this day possible.

Believe it or not, life as a Congressman is even busier than campaign life.

Last week we received our Committee assignments. I was happy to be asked to serve on the newly created Homeland Security Committee, the Education and Workforce Committee, and the Committee on Resources. These Committees will provide an excellent forum to improve the security of our state, make healthcare more affordable for individuals and small businesses, improve education and preserve the natural resources that make our state so unique and beautiful.

Our DC office is setup and I was thrilled to see many supporters visit the open house last week. This week we will be opening two district offices, one in Metairie, one in St. Tammany, and a third office will open soon in Tangipahoa Parish. Our open house in Metairie is Today at 12:00, January 13, 2004 at our office located at 3525 North Causeway Blvd., Ste. 1020. Tomorrow, we will have our open house in Mandeville at 12:00, located at 21454 Koop Drive, Suite 1-E. I look forward to visiting with so many of you as you stop by during our open house celebrations.

Next week, the Presidential Inauguration festivies will take place in Washington, DC. As a Congressman, they have given me a limited number of tickets for the Inaugural Ceremony. If you are planning to go to DC and would like tickets to see President Bush Inaugurated, please call my office at 504-274-0080. The number of tickets is limited, so they will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

Thank you again for your kind support and prayers as we continue this journey. I hope we have the chance to see each other soon.

Bobby Jindal
