I caught a piece on the news couple days ago where some equipment owners were talking about shutting their rigs down because of fuel prices. I'M retired and have all kinds of time to enjoy the outdoors. But have limited my hunting to 5 miles from home. normally I would spend several days in philips, lincoln, howland, princeton etc. this means at least a $1000 dollars not spent for food ,lodging and fuel. I think the only thing that will drop oil prices is businesses standing up to the oil companies. And by us the people slowing down our spending we can force this action. turn your thermostat down a couple of deg. ; cut your trips to the store, idle time use your scrapper. car pool with a neighbor. But most of all when you vote remember if it comes from texas its bought and paid for by big oil!
