SPRING IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER MAYBE THIS WILL WAKE IT UP.
WE CONSTANTLY HEAR FROM THE RIGHT ABOUT HOW MAINE IS #1 IN TAXES. ESPECIALLY DURING
ELECTION CAMPAIGNS. WELL THIS MAY SHED A LITTLE LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT.(NO I DON'T LIKE TAXES;NOR DO I LIKE THE GUY WHO WORKS UNDER THE TABLE AND LETS ME PAY HIS SHARE.)

Of course, in 2008 the Tax Foundation admitted that they had made mistakes, year after year, and that Maine did not lead the nation in tax burden, nor were we second, or even in the top 10. The tax foundation had been counting wrong and mischaracterizing our state’s tax burden.

Again, the conservative call to arms just does not fit the facts on the ground.
