people recieving WABI channel 5 via antenna need to rescan

Some people far away may still not recieve it anymore, like us here in Augusta.

As of two this afternoon WABI TV 5 is a VHF television station.

If you are a cable or satellite TV subscriber, it should make no difference.

But anyone who currently receives channels 5.1 and 5.2 with an antenna, needs to unhook the antenna and re-scan their converter box or TV set, then hook the antenna back up and re-scan again to continue to get our stations.

Our channel numbers will not change on your TV sets.

WMTW tried that down here in Portland and they had to put up a UHF repeater for the city.

2. VHF works better for those of us who live in the sticks.

Time to buy an antenna and give it a try. Maybe now, I can convince my wife to get rid of cable.
