his theory =cut the budget;give the money(tax breaks) to the wealthy and they will provide the jobs! the facts=his budget cuts will kill twice as many jobs as the tax breaks will produce! Has anyone been paying attention to the cuts in your local budgets? I mean it's town after town letting people go!And that is not state employees ! they haven't started on them yet! the fact is this is a typical heritage tactic that has failed in so many states! it simply shifts money prom jobs to fat cats pockets! their are 46 states with money problems,the total debt of these states is $170 billion dollars! the price of the Bush wars is $180 billion dollars=this includes Pakistan and other small conflicts related to Iraq AN AFGHANISTAN! WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? WAKE UP!THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE THE WORKERS RIGHTS; AFTER THAT WHAT? THE 1950'S? 87 OUT OF MY GRADUATING CLASS LEFT THE STATE WITHIN TWO WEEKS AFTER GRADUATION! I LOVED MAINE SO I STAYED,MINIMUM PAYING JOBS,WAS LAID OFF THE FIRST 4 YEARS EVERY WINTER! DRAFTED,HAD A JOB OPPORTUNITY IN TEXAS FOR $2.25 WITH FULL BENEFITS CAME HOME TOOK THE SAME JOB IN MAINE $1.25 AN HOUR! I WORKED MY BUTT OFF FOR PEANUTS WHILE I LISTEN TO THOSE THAT HIRED ME TO LAY OUT THEIR PROJECTS TALK ABOUT THE MONEY THEY WERE MAKING. IN THE SIXTY'S BRUNSWICK,TOPSHAM AND LISBON WAS WHERE THE ACTION WAS. I laid out house lots with new houses in projects that sold from $4500- $10,000 at that time-they go from $125,000 to $300,000 now! millions have been made on these projects and more to be made-but I never see a worker that was overpaid,over compensated for and only a few appreciated! well I think we are going to see more and more workers breaking their backs for those that can neither do the work or appreciate that with out labor they would have nothing! Just a clue=it use to be that the cost of labor was 1% of the cost of operating a prosperous paper mill! back when I estimated a construction job we charged 2 1/2- 3 times the workers wage!benefits,and salary plus expenses were 1 1/2 so the profit was 100-150% of each employee! It has always been bloated,just another perk business gets as they under pay their help!
