1. put pressure on the oil companies |
|
the best way to put pressure on the oil maggots is to let other businesses do it! you can force this by simply cutting your living expenses by $5 dollars a member of your family per week! for instance I love celery in most of our meals! celery is now $2.99 a bunch ;up a $1 because of fuel costs-we eliminated that this past week!their is only two in my family now so I needed another $7-we ate at applebees this week and got the 2-for $20 and had ice water with our meal! my bill with tip was $26-it usually is $35-$40! as I paid I informed the manager when gas was $2.00 a gallon I WOULD RESUME HAVING DESSERT! So you see it is easy and it's only Wednesday.pay day is friday so I should be able to save at least another $10. My pick up has not been started for 8 days!that is probably another $40 -$50 in savings! I turned my thermostat down to 68 during the day and 65 at nite! another savings of $10 thats all you have to do folks and prices will plummet!

today I had to make a personal business trip to bridgton-things took a little longer than expected so on the way back I stopped in mechanic falls for a lunch. I have stopped in this restaurant occasionally for breakfast.(KAY'S) Well they had one of my favorites on special "fried scallop dinner" with their own slaw !! I had one of the best fried scallop dinners in a long time with a pepsi and the bill came to $8.99 . their were 8-10 scallops, ample fries and the slaw was A1! The scallops were in a batter and cooked to perfection! the price was at least $5 less than I usually pay! the point is I had a good meal, and saved money! you betcha I will go back! and you betcha i'll praise a fellow MAINER'S business that gives a fair price service!
