It appears that not only Maine labor unions and Democrats are upset over the governor's removal last month of a labor history mural from the walls of the state Department of Labor -- so are eight GOP state senators who rebuked the new governor over his combative rhetoric.
The senators, writing in The Portland Press Herald, say they could "bite our collective tongues" over a few sharp remarks by Gov. Paul LePage, but that his barbed comments "are not isolated but frequent."
Regarding LePage's quip that he would "laugh at the idiots" who might try to physically block the removal of the mural, the senators said "government by disrespect" should have no place in the state capital "and when it happens we should all reject it."
They also called the mural incident a battle not worth fighting WE DEFINITELY REJECTS HIS STUPID COMMENTS AND FEAR HIS LEADERSHIP WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE FOOLS OF HIS SUPPORTERS AS WELL AS THE GOOD CITIZENS OF THIS STATE!!!!!
