I picked this up in the other forum I post in now and then; As you can see their are a few the nut squad fear. (people that think before they respond)
Editor: You are correct that the idea is kept alive. If we had the votes to kill it that would have been the thing to do. But the votes were not there.
The reality is that the general public in Maine does not share the AMG view of environmental policy. Starting fights on environmental legislation that will have no real impact is not a good political strategy for the GOP. Republicans need to focus on the issues where the public is on our side. There were no votes to be won on this one. If we take the majority in either house and the legislation comes forward next year, we can kill it then. you see the editor like his cohort are hard core anti-everything! they eliminate those that speak their mind (don't agree with the far right ding bats) though I seldom agree with Dan I respect his ability to reason. And more than once he has given me a different outlook! yea dan I respect your ability to reason, and your input in the political arena! (but I would never admit it in public) you see if more of our legislators acted like this from both sides of the aisle many of us would benefit!
