I FELT THIS WORTH POSTING =A LETTER TO THE EDITOR WRITTEN BY A PERSON WITH MORE COMMON SENSE THAN THE SUBJECTS MENTIONED IN THE LETTER COMBINED! Paranoia strikes deep
Published: Monday, October 17, 2011 2:08 PM EDT Fear of voter fraud continues to preoccupy many of Maine’s most prominent Republican mouthpieces.
The Maine Heritage Policy Center, Republican Party chairman Charlie Webster and Secretary of State Charlie Summers have all sounded recent dire warnings about the integrity of the system.
Problem is: Their own research found no history of electoral fraud in Maine. Nor has anyone else’s. It’s not that evidence is lacking, there’s ample proof that voter fraud does not menace Maine.
Let’s stop guarding against the political equivalent of Bigfoot and concentrate on real government challenges.
letters@timesrecord.com I FOUND THIS LETTER BRIEF AND TWO THE POINT; AND I MUST SAY A HELL OF LOT LESS OFFENSE THAN THE ACCUSATIONS OF THE FEEBLE MINDED RIGHT (YES CHARLIE YOU ARE ONE OF THE ONES I AM CALLING FEEBLE MINDED) HAVE AN SCARE TACTICS ARE WHAT CAUSED THE MASS EXODUS FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN THE 50'S! THEY WERE UNDER THE IMPRESSION THEY RULED NOT GOVERNED AND IT SURE LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED THEIR WAYS.
