well I scanned the other sides forum this morning an thought this worth a comment.

What a waste of our assets, both human and financial over the past 10 years. How many dead and wounded? How much money dumped into a bottomless pit? Ike was right about the military industrial complex. It still functions fine! "

while I don't agree 100% with this poster the last paragraph certainly contains merit. Many of us left,right and independent did not trust Karzi or think that the haste to go into Iraq for "WMDS" was based on common sense and the best intel we had but actually a stretch of the intel we had to fit the agenda of the Bush administration.
Remember we pulled out of Afghanistan to chase wmds (OIL MANY THINK) allowing both wars to continue when we had "Bin Laden" on the run.(not the smartest military move this country ever made)- then ignored all the military voices until we adhered to the political agenda and created a quagmire that lasted longer than "world war 11" really the root cause of our financial situation today. Of course this is not my opinion alone as polls have shown for 5 years or more that the majority has wanted our troops home.
We have squandered resources (billions unaccounted for) man power (humvees and body armor not available) young man and women in uniform maimed or killed while we have pissed off many of our former allies. I would say if we had to grade these conflicts (IRAG,AFGHANISTAN) they would get a very poor grade when it came to any milestone of timely
achievement! In fact it broke records for under achievement!
SO I AGREE WE HAVE WASTED ENOUGH OF OUR ASSETS IN BOTH IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN IT'S TIME TO BRING OUR TROOPS HOME AND REBUILD OUR COUNTRY.
