when a repuke tells a fib it becomes gospel

Our friendly neighbors on the right post so brilliantly that one would be completely snowed if they didn't know better.
the subject is a national park;the objection is it would put logging companies out of business.(bull crap)
We unequivocally believe a national park in Maine’s woods will create jobs and economic opportunities..."
Millinocket never really gained very much from being the gateway to Baxter State Park. North Maine Woods is none too prosperous either; how can any sane person conclude that creating a National Park that offers what is already offered - to a smaller degree - will turn out any differently than Millinocket's experience with tourist dollars from Baxter State Park visitors - or that of North Maine Woods stithering along.
When the loss of forestry jobs and all the jobs that support forestry, the loss of snowmobile business, farms, and other existing enterprises... how can anyone even remotely familiar with reality think that a National Park that duplicates what is already available (AWW, PRC, BSP, NMW) will create anything different than what already exists?
to translate this bull crap it means if I want to cut on that land I will have to bid on the cutting rights! you see right now most of the area has been raped! It has been over cut and poorly managed! the premise they are pitching is once a federal park it cannot be cut! the fact is quite the opposite! I suggest you see the complaints about the cutting in our national parks! many feel they are cutting to much to soon!
Of course we will have the queen of knowledge and the fishless wonders comments to keep the rhetoric going. I wonder if either of them have been north of bangor in years!
I hunted 2 days in pucker brush and moose whips that was clear cut and over cut in the 70s and 80's this month.
Iworked on the golden road before the big cutting operations ruined that area! I know what it use to look like I also worked on the interstate and hunted salmon stream, grindstone hereshytown crystal miltynokket etc. this idiot that wrote this hasn't a clue what that country looked like in the 50's and 60's! and might look like again 40 -50 years from now!
when the forest grows in a national park area to the harvest stage it will be cut;just like it is in Baxter park! If managed properly it will sustain a forrest for ever.
As far as tourism passing through the park area it defenitly benefits miltyknocket and that area,I can't believe this idiot not realizing that.
hey dolt I dropped a $150+ in two days and was staying in a camp owned by a family member!
ya know a tank of gas is $60,3 meals for 2 is $90 and snacks were another $20
let me know what town you live in i'll make sure I never spend a dime in it!
