This story is not new today, but I found the blog and the
offensive entries made by Duvall (the lawyer who heads Ehrlich's Trial Court Nominating Committee).
Do you know about this guy? What a sleaze bucket!

Lawyer who leads judge nomination panel says remarks on Mexicans were satire
By Tristan Schweiger
Daily Times Staff Writer
SALISBURY -- Gov. Robert Ehrlich's office is reviewing disparaging comments about Mexicans made on the personal Internet Web log of a Salisbury attorney who heads the local panel that nominates trial court judges.
In a recent posting on his "blog" duvafiles.com, William G. Duvall Jr. used an ethnic slur to refer to Mexicans. And, in a posting the next day discussing why the blog made no mention of Cinco de Mayo -- a day which commemorates a Mexican militia victory -- Duvall wrote: "It is as if a squad of illegal immigrants were recruited at random from the sales forces of local convenience stores and sent into battle."
Duvall serves as chairman of the Trial Court Judicial Nominating Commission for Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties. The governor appointed Duvall as chairman of the group, which selects candidates for judgeship vacancies.
Shareese DeLeaver, a press secretary for Ehrlich, condemned the remarks made on the Web site.
"Clearly there's some questions that will need to be asked before any action that's taken on the part of the administration," she said. "This type of behavior is not condoned by the administration." http://tinyurl.com/a9ch8

DRILL ACADEMY UPDATE: It took the County Council majority over 5 months to realize what virtuially every sober citizen knew long ago; dedication of the R. Hunter Nelms Memorial Drill Academy Facility to rehabbing errant youth was, and is, a losing proposition.
Now it wants to turn the place into a warehouse for illegal female wetbacks. It probably would be cheaper to make it a convenience store and let the inmates run it, but that option will run into the prevailing rules of poltical correctness. post @ 6:15 a.m.

DISGRACE CH. II: The Gazette failed to note yesterday's celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the anniversary of a Mexican military victory.
It is true that the Gazette made no mention of the occasion, but there is a reason. The military "victory" in question was not over what the Disgrace described as one of the " most powerful armed forces" ( whatever that is supposed to mean), but the French army.
In other words, what is there to celebrate?
It is as if a squad of illegal immigrants were recruited at random from the sales forces of local convenience stores and sent into battle with General Mumbles' army of the ancien regime. post @ 6:35 a.m.

Duvall explains and sort of apologizes, but not really.
Typical Republican.
