9/11 in Maryland
White Marsh 16 Theater, at the Avenue is one of the places showing Michael Moore's Film in Maryland. If you haven't seen it,Go see it is a very good movie IMO. Moore presents the facts, you draw your own conclusions.
I saw it last night, I cringed,I laughed, I cheered and I left feeling like somebody at least had the guts to take the ugly information available to all and present it together(It is a good idea to make a film to distill essential facts from occurrences, vs reading hundreds of newspaper articles)Sadly most people in America do not bother with reading political stuff or watching what government really does with power, why and how and who especially if it threatens cherished and dangerous beliefs...This film is great, because it makes it easier for busy, apathetic or oblivious people to apprehend and understand the danger inherent in kind of problems bush and his rich bully cronies are causing..It makes it up close and personal. And this is what Americans need,to be forced to see how Bush policies impact people because it could potentially impact them,if it hasn't already.
It gives people starting points, and topics to begin to do their own research into the crap this administration is too.

1. Columbia Mall has it, too
It was sold out last night, but we'd ordered tickets ahead.

Everybody should see it!

2. My main hope for the film is that it will influence young people
When I was in Maryland, I talked with several good Dems whose children had gone Repub. because they liked Reagan. The young men felt it was macho and cool to be Repub.

I hope this movie will show how uncool Bush is.

3. R/C Westview Theatre in Frederick

I saw the second matinee yesterday, it was about 75% full and there was a line circling the inside of the theatre for the next showing. The R/C print has a slight fault that makes the sound and image fade in and out for about 5 minutes, but they note it and it was no problem.

The crowd was receptive and for the most part looked like pretty typical people (not the usual "angry activist crowd" of indy flicks).

I recommend F/911. Its opinions are debatable, but its facts are right there, verifiable or refutable, for everybody, and there seem to be scrupulously documented.

I was glad to see it playing in a rural theatre, albeit in a Peoples Republic state.
