PG County States Attorney Glenn Ivey Won't Run for Lt. Gov.
Prince George's State's Attorney Glenn Ivey says he's running for re-election, squashing speculation that he might seek a statewide office.

Ivey says it's been humbling to have so many people mention his name as a possible candidate for state attorney general or lieutenant governor.

But Ivey, who is a Democrat, says there's still a lot of work to do in Prince George's County, where he's been the top prosecutor since 2002.

1. Dang! I don't blame him - he has young kids - but he would have been
a great candidate. He really can connect with people and he actually has some ideas about how to deal with youth violence.
