Via Emial:
Last week we learned that President Bush will be coming to Baltimore on November 30 to headline a fundraiser for Michael Steele. Given Steele's close relationship with Bush, we can't say we're surprised.
Now the people of Maryland will have a chance to hear first-hand why
Michael Steele is President Bush's choice to support his Administration's agenda in the U.S. Senate, an agenda that includes privatizing Social Security, cuts to veterans' health care, huge deficits, and a failed policy in Iraq.
While Steele may raise hundreds of thousands of dollars in one night with George W. Bush, he'll also raise the eyebrows of the majority of
Marylanders who believe President Bush is taking our country in the wrong direction. In fact, a recent poll showed that just 33% of Marylanders approve of the President's job performance.
Marylanders reject President Bush's plan to privatize Social Security. Does Michael Steele? Marylanders reject President Bush's plan to handcuff scientists who seek to save lives through stem cell research. Does Michael Steele? Marylanders reject President Bush's handling of the war in Iraq. Does Michael Steele?
Perhaps we'll learn answers to some of these questions on November 30 whenthe Bush-Steele team takes center stage in Baltimore.
