O'Malley on the ropes?

This whole 'cooking the books' crime scandal is really starting to take off. How much of a threat do you think it poses to his campaign?

By the way, Republicans arent the only ones going after O'Malley on this. Duncan tore O'Malley apart the other day on WBAL.

1. It is an opening for Duncan, and exposes O'Malley's BS

Many Baltimoreans have known that the alleged crime reduction was fiction for a while. Also, it is more than a little counterintuitive to think that criminals kept on shooting (mostly) each other but cut down on stabbings, beatings, etc. O'Malley campaigned for Mayor essentially as a law and order candidate, and won. He has not delivered. It creates an opening for Duncan to talk about competence and about honesty. I'm not sure how much it helps Ehrlich, or impacts his strategy, which will be dirty no matter who the nominee is. Ehrlich has major issues of his own when it comes to delivering on his pet issues.
